I found this Banksy in a storefront on the main drag in South Pasadena over the weekend. I don't know how long it's been there, but I've found no record of it online. Some Banksy activity downtown was widely reported around the release of Exit Through the Gift Shop (which I've seen and can recommend). I've previously stumbled upon a few Space Invaders in Los Angeles--one on a building near Hollywood and Highland and another in the rooftop bar of the Standard downtown. I'm pretty jazzed about finding a Banksy before it got framed or defaced or surgically extracted from the wall and sold to a gallery.
Possibly related: An Alhambra man was arrested a few weeks ago on suspicion of being a graffiti artist specializing in images of cats.
its not a banksy, it says marxy underneath.
